Walking on the beach this afternoon on the NE coast of UK (Northumbria, near Bamburgh castle for any locals). There was intense, hot, sun on the beach and a spectacular thunderstorm just out to sea. Just for a couple of minutes the combination looked very impressive before the light changed. Both pics K7 + DA21Ltd at ISO100.

Very interesting and dramatic. No doubt someone is going to get wet. Good thing you had a K7 which is water resistant! :-)

Very nice.

Nice shots. I guess it would have been even nicer to have a wider lens for #1, but still, very cool anyway.

Very good.

Very nice pictures! I like the second one best with the driftwood in the front!
How did you process the pictures?

Many thanks Janko. I used Adobe Camera Raw 6 and then Photoshop Elements 9. In ACR I set WB off the grey sky. Then I boosted contrast a bit - the histogram did not stretch to both ends of the range - which made the pictures look a little more dramatic. Then in PSE I applied local contrast enhancement to bring out the texture of the sand and the driftwood (using Unsharp Mask with 15% and radius 30 pixels). Then final sharpening with radius 0.7 pixels and amount 100%.

Best wishes
