Looks like it has AF Assist light (something there on the top right)
- No viewfinder
- No built-in flash
- very few external control (at least from this view)
Nahhhh...thats the new Canon proximity sensor which replaces the old Direct Print button. Now you just have to wave your hand or finger over it and it sends the file to your printer.Looks like maybe a build-in mini flash like on other mirrorless on the right.
EF-S is exactly the same mount as EF. the only difference is that the rear element of some lenses protrudes back beyond the mount. A full frame mirror would hit a rear element like this, but a smaller aps-c mirror doesn't so the lenses are designed to take advantage of this. In a mirrorless camera with an adapter there obviously isn't going to be a mirror to hit the rear element. So EF-S will definitely be compatible if EF is. No question. There was talk earler that the new Canon Mirrorless would accept EF lenses but probably not EF-S. This lens is a new EF-M.
Anyone have any thoughts on this?
I agree, it seems very strange for them to not have a flash. I'm guessing it is just well hidden.I would not rule out that it has a built in pop up flash. The lever on the front right and the spacing above on top of the camera could be an indication for an internal flash.
