The red dot on my E-M5 record button fell off!!

At least I think it did. The button doesn't have a red dot now. I am pretty sure it had one when I got it. I never paid attention. :)

Then by all means send it in to get replaced. If we let poor quality control go unchecked it will become the norm, if it hasn't already.

I kinda agree. I've remapped that button to do something other than video record and feel guilty for no good reason. Maybe removing the red dot would assuage that feeling.

so the red dot felt unloved and left you.
 
Sent my OM-D to Oly service center today for repair of cracked LCD monitor. In my haste to get it to them, I forgot to remove the battery (which they strongly emphasize to do) and also left a 32GB Sand Disk Extreme Pro card in the slot. What a dope! While its in for repair, I am going to contact them to have the red dot surgically removed.
