Old Military Road - Scotland - Zeiss 21ZE + 5D2

Beautiful images. Have not been home to Scotland for a long time so these were very nice to see. I, too, have the Zeiss 21mm and love the look that it creates .. there is something unique and quite noticeable about photos shot with that lens. I love it, as I am betting you do, too :-)

Wow, thanks for the feedback. Yes you are right, I love the 21 ZE and will probably never sell it. I never have to worry about pixel sharpness any more, it seems to capture an amazing level of detail. All that is left to do is compose and process with a little thought, the lens does the rest

current kit: 5DmkIII, 5DmkII, 17-35/2.8L, 24-105is/4.0L, 28-70/2.8L, 70-200is/2.8L, 100 macro/2.8L, 50/1.2L, 6x550ex Speedlites, Phottix Odin Flash Triggers, wft-E4II

All of these are handheld, was with the gf who was getting bored so had to be quick. All weretab out f8-f10 and iso 100, apart from the first of the road which was at 2.8 to utilise the heavy vingetting of the lens. I shot bracketed and then blended in photoshop two exposures (sky and ground) to create the one image with simple layer masks. Curves were adjusted for the sky and ground separately. Some slight agustments of colour balance too just to get the greens how I remembered them. All done in photoshop and then saved as jpeg (tiffs are too big) and imported into Lightroom again. Given about plus 4 to 10 Clarity depending on the image, and then resize and export with high sharpening for screen in Lightroom.

Hope that helps!
