B&H Shipped the EM-5...

Mine was shipped today. Ordered (and paid for) on 3/21/12 with PayPal. Black E-M5 with 14-42 lens. They must have quite a few in. Probably just taking time to pack and ship.

I reread the pdf rebate form, still says must be purchased at same time. Do you see wordings about not having to be shipped at same time? Could you provide me a link?

But I was pretty sure someone asked about this to Oly and posted the answer here, just can't find it right now.

I placed my order for a Black EM-5 with the 12-50 kit lens through B&H just before midnight on the 7th. I was told at one point that I'm "close to the top of the list", and now I'm surprised that my order hasn't shipped yet. Has anyone had this configuration shipped to them, and if so, when did you place your order?

I preordered mine on Feb 8 (black with 12-50). They told me Sunday that it would ship in two days. Today, they said it was on a backorder that would take two weeks to come in. Time to just relax.

B&H informed me that they have not yet received any Black kits with the 12-50mm lens. According to them I should be in the first shipment as I ordered this kit around 10:00 on 2/7. They had no timeframe for me.

Its right on their promotions page.

Oh good, thanks for the link. I feel better now. Though I feel that BH doing this lock me into not being able to cancel it should another source becomes available. Oh well, hopefully it will just be a week or two wait.

Guy told me I could have walked out of there with a silver with the 12-50. If I hadn't just bought an X-Pro 1...
LOL! And if you didn't, you'd never have crossed paths with that offer. ain't it always the way?

BTW, you better have a security cable attached to that X-Pro 1 before we meet up. Y'know - just good advice. ;)

Not to rub it in - but I changed a while ago from my initial order of a black 12-50 kit to the silver. I guess silver is the lucky color after all.

My buddy ordered his E-M5 black with 14-42 lens on 3/31 and he got a shipping notice yesterday. He'll have his camera today. My battery shows back ordered and the rest of the kit shows either new order processing or back ordered. I ordered late though (4/9) so I'm sure I'll be waiting a while for my black body with 12-50 kit with battery grip and flash to arrive.

Well, if you get tired of waiting and don't mind (very) lightly used, I have a black OM-D with kit lens for sale.

Good luck to you otherwise. I had better luck with smaller camera stores and thats how I got both my silver and black OM-Ds and canceled my "big" store orders. It seems Olympus prioritizes the local dealers (or at least equal quantity).
