Is Nikon falling behind?

Yes, they are horribly and hopelessly behind. Please pack up all your now worthless Nikon gear and immediately ship it to "Upstate Photographers, 353 Broadway, Troy, NY 12180, USA.

I will make sure your utterly humiliated Nikon gear receives good hospice care.

jeez guys were is your sense of humor ?
I see the latest Canon has a new feature where you can initiate exposure compensation by turning on the backlit display, why hasn't Nikon got this feature.
Because it was a stupid and unnecessary post/thread. If he's so consumed with Canon, let him go and play his games in the Canon forums. I know nothing about Canon and don't care to spend any time learning about them. For all I know, he was talking about some weird Canon feature. The OP probably thought he was being very clever. Instead he gets added to my ignore file as he'll never have anything to say that I might be interested in.

Very clever and funny. Although caveat - Canon's LCD problem is a non-issue actually. ;-)

Cheers,

I don't suffer from insanity, I enjoy every moment of it!

By the way, film is not dead.
It just smell funny

Yeah but Nikon has a new feature where you can do focus bracketing by changing the focus point, Canon doesn't have that feature, so it's a tie.
Canon tried a different implementation, but with similar practical results in their Eos 1D Mark III model. There the focus bracketing was arbitrary in nature, in no way controlled by the user. The feature was widely misunderstood and it seem Canon has abandoned this idea in later models.

The first two posts in the thread are funny, the rest of the thread made me face-palm. ;)

What a disappointment in human reasoning!
I take it you don't read the dpReview front page? Before you comment on the OP's reasoning, make sure of your own. You might want to take a look at this...
