I agree with Rothwell. I bought my a77 6 months ago and I loved it from first day. But I had problem with the Instruction manual so just 4 weeks ago I bought Gary Friedmans 'Complete Guide to a77' and in 4 days I learn 10 times more than in 5 months. It was like having a new camera.I respectfully disagree. I cannot WAIT to replace my wonderful a77 with a full frame SLT and all that modern technology brings to the table. I will never, ever...ever... Go back to old-fashioned, obsolete optical, mirror-flapping, no WYSIWYG has-been technology.Unless, of course, it's an SLT designIf they do it right ( like they did the A900 ) and charge a fair price, it'll be a winner.
I have been a serious photographer since the mid 1970's.... Other than digital, I cannot think of a technology that changed everything for me (for the better) than SLT/EVF has, and all it brings with it.... PDAF during 12fps shooting.... Autofocus during video, bring able to actually look trough the viewfinder shooting video instead of having to look at the back LCD. And only Sony seems to be able to deliver 1080p60 video. Nikon and canon don't seem to think that format exists. Really? 1080p30 is the best they can do?
I'll never leave SLT. I applaud Sony for coming up with something new, not rehashing old stuff
So I think that most people that are talking bad of SLT have never taken their time to understand the new system. And many just repeat what they heard from other "EXPERTS".
