Buying Sigma 120-300mm from HK through ebay?

I would look at the Nikon 70-200 VR II and a TC for about the same price through a US dealer.

IDK - brand new for $800 less than B&H or Adorama? I'm more than a little suspicious. Yeah, gray market stuff can be a little cheaper but 25% less? That's about the price of a used 120-300. As you said, it seems too good to be true.

BTW - for action, especially HS field sports at night, the 120-300 is FAR better than a 70-200 + TC. The IQ is very close the to 70-200 (without the TC) but it's 50% longer which make a big difference for field sports.

I LOVE my 70-200 but I wish I could afford a 120-300 for Friday Night Football.
I realize this is probably one of those "too good to be true" things, but the seller does have a good feedback rating and has sold a few of these lenses before. Anyone know what import taxes would be like?

Carefully read their "7 day cooling off period". If that doesn't convince you to stay away, what will?

Iam kinda curious if you did order one and how it turned out. Ebay has added alot of buyer protection lately so not near as risky as before.
