Q: simple cut & save video *.mov files on Windows

In 5DIII camera playback mode basic movie editor with cut function is available. Is there any free basic video editor available on Windows 7? Just to cut the part of movie and overwrite the original .mov file..............

It's included in your Canon software package; Look in ZOOMBROWSER.

I already tried ImageBrowser EX. I updated the last version 1.01.32. When click Edit Movies the software starts MovieEdit Task wizard. In this wizard I cannot find movie cut function. Did I miss something?
 
I got ImageBrowser EX.

Installed but it's not working :(. For 5DIII video mov files I got the message "cannot play this file". For instance I can play 60D mov files but Cut Movie function doesn't work. It seems ZoomBrowser EX doesn't support all mov files.

Thanks, I tested, cutting is simple but I would prefer to keep .mov settings.
 
Quicktime Pro isn't free, but it's dirt cheap compared to the major NLE software packages, and it works natively with h.264
 
Did you include the .thm files?
You need that for the cut to work in Canon software.
