I think I can now consider myself a member of the Olympus Talk community! :)

Last December I bought myself an XZ-1 but I never felt comfortable with the camera for multiple reasons, image quality being one of them. At a certain point I decided to sell the camera in favor of a Coolpix P7100.

However, it took a lot of time before somebody showed interest in the XZ-1 so I started shooting with it again. I also started using Lightroom 4 to process the raw files and guess what? I'm actually starting to like the camera! :)

So I decided to keep the it!

Below is a shot that made me change my mind. Nothing special actually, but I like the result (except maybe from the blown out wall...)!

Sorry no one has taken the time to say Welcome....There are quite a few XZ-1 owners, so they must be out shooting and should be back soon.

Your image must have been removed? Can't see it...hope you'll post it again and share your view of the world with us. I haven't posted here for some time, so hope you'll stick around.

Congratulations on finding you like the camera after all!

tep, we cant see any photo....i'm also a XZ-1 user who had used canon eos40D, canon sx10-20is, sony nex-3....and i can tell you that, xz-1 is the one who made me satisfied most among these cams...jpeg output (color-detail-sharpness) is just awesome...i've been using xz-1 for a year and it's simply stunning cam....
below is a few samples among 9000 kept photos.

OK, here's the image again! :) I thought no one was interested so I removed it :P

....it's a beautiful scene and the stream takes me right into the photo.

I see by your profile that you are in Belgium...was this taken in your town?

You have some of the best images I have seem in this forum. They are seriously good stuff! Yes I agree, XZ-1 is the most satisfied "easy & small" camera I ever used.

Other than blown out white wall, all else is very good. If you shoot RAW you might be able to recover much of highlight too. I am happy to see you like XZ-1.

This picture was taken in Kasterlee (not my home town), on the other side of the house shown here:

It was shot in raw but the wall could not be recovered... too much blown out!
