Given the likelihood that we'll over-run on the quota of posts, I'll try to compile a bunch of comments into a single post. Thanks again Dez for organising...
Dez - Re National September 11 Memorial & Museum - Use of leading geometric shapes in the foreground creates a visually appealing image.
Jim - Re St. Michael's Mount - Very nice composition with much to interest the eye from the foreground through to the background and the building perched at the top of the frame
Clancyboy - Re House - Mansion more like, or Porch with Mansion attached! There is half of an interesting looking tree on the right edge of the frame that I might have been tempted to include more of; maybe there were 'Don't walk on the Grass' signs ;-)
Rick - Re Spencer Island, WA - Nice wide shot - great clouds over the distant snowy mountains. Image of the bridge & landscape beyons is well served by the panoramic aspect ratio.
Rick - Re Ghirardelli Square - The compressed perspective works well here. Years ago, I used to be able to get Ghirardelli chocolate powder (for dusting cappuccino) in the UK, but haven't seen it for ages now. Guess this must be the 'Mother Lode'.
Paramose - Re Spring time - Lovely image of the John Deere and big red barn. Looks like the soil needs a little bit of rain (but isn't that always true).
Winniepoo - Re: Sun set at Huntington Beach Pier, California - Both images work really well in different ways; beautiful composition in the first and stunning big sky/clouds in the second.
Michel - Re Pyrénées - Tranquil summer pastures & mountain scenery well captured. Chocolate in the making!
Lee - Re Perranporth Beach - (Yet) another eye-wateringly super wind-lashed beach shot. Have all the trees blown away?
Dutchmate - Re Berceau - I've not seen anything like your 'green bedstead', so look forward to the more detailed images you mention. Interesting scenery depicted in your post.
Ian - Re April in - Great image of stormy skies over the City, I'm guessing taken from Waterloo Bridge, just where the 59 Bus stops. Used to be part of my daily commute!
More to follow if I find time (only about half way down the posts!). Thanks to all for keeping this thread going!
