app to transfer folder of photos to new iPad

looking to transfer folder of photos from my iMac to iPad
would like to just drag folder and have it keep folder name
tried dropbox will not take folder at once and limited to 2G
I wan to be able to delete photos iPhoto will not let me delete them from iPad
anyone using anything

Photography, It ain't the same old Art form it used to be..

Sync with iTunes.
 
but I can't delete from the iPad

It's a quirk of iPad that the best way to manage photos is via iPhoto and then sync to iPad. There are aps that supposedly allow some control I the iPad itself, but I haven't found on that is nearly as effective as syncing after setting up what I want in iTunes .

iPhoto isn't necessary for this. In iTunes you can select to sync to a folder instead of an iTunes library. Just load up that folder with subfolders and sync. This is great for those of us who prefer to use a professional app like Lightroom instead of iPhoto. Tell Lightroom to sync to the same folder that iTunes is set to sync to, and any time you add or remove images from that folder, they are added or removed from the iPad.

You are able to delete the photos from the iPad, but what I haven't tried is if that will also delete them from the folder on the computer on the next sync.

Just a minor thing to add: The subfolders will show up as albums on the iPad.

Nope you cannot delete the synced photos directly on the iPad (iOS 5.1). You can delete other photos but not those that are synced.
