Still no sign or indication of processing, of mine or a friend in Chicago that ordered on the 9th, another day and another decrease in my productivity. This patience thing is turning out to be harder than I thought.

Just called precision in Austin, they've got a few preorder kits in that aren't picked up yet I guess, and their demo, but that's it

Not only can I not get a delivery estimate from Amazon, my last contact with them, (yesterday) they said the OM-D had not been released yet!!!

Just spoke with Amazon USA via phone. The service gal was super sweet, unfortunately they are providing them with "0" information. According to them no Silver+12-50 kits have shipped or been received by Amazon. And as of 8:45AM PST they do not have any information other than "Pre-Order Only" meaning no fulfillment happening. It is discouraging, to hear that this was the case, and proves a point that while having the ability to pre-order with no commitment to money is nice maybe the brick and mortar stores that require a deposit can get better information and more accurate deliveries?
Trying to remain optimistic while being completely envious of everyone breaking theirs in and setiing them up, regarding the camera. To bad I was being cheap not wanting to go to a brick and mortar and pay shipping and tax.

sigh, have a wedding to goto in early May, looks like I'll be using the E-PM1 instead of the OMD.... was hoping to use the wedding as a trial run for my European trip coming up soon....

I'll chalk it up to some sort of Karmic retribution, aparently my covetting of a new camera had my existing camera call it in. I love my GH1 for all it does but the color and new spec's in the OM-D really got me excited, now to harness that excitment and turn it in to patience. If only I had that sort of ability? Instead I troll the blogosphere and elsewhere hoping for a hint of product arrivals.

My Shipping Soon notice finally went to Shipped and I have a UPS tracking number. However, the usual "Shipped" email with delivery day estimate has not come because the UPS site doesn't have it in their system yet. Looks like there is no way it's getting delivered today and looks unlikely I would have it tomorrow unless they put an extra rush on it for some reason. Friday is fine though. Hope everyone else starts to hear better news soon.

CRAP, spoke too soon. Just got the shipped email and it says the estimated delivery day is MONDAY!
The UPS site tracking will be the final word on actual date, but I'm it's not looking good.

I looked at the UPS status. It says 3-day select! What the?! Why wasn't this 2 day shipping? I'm chatting with Amazon now, but I doubt there's anything they can do at this point.
Maybe I can get a shipping credit. Amazon Prime ain't cheap!

They ship using whatever method cheapest that would reach you in 2 days from their warehouse, if you are close enough 3 days or ground can reach you in 2 days, that's cheaper for them so that's what they use.
Sometime 2 day air is not faster than Ground... I once shipped something go from Chicago to Milwaukee, Ground is 1 day transit but Air take two day.
So assuming its shpping today are you schedule to get it by Friday?
edit just notice earlier post you say Monday...
Did you double check your order to make sure you did select 2 day prime shipping during the order...?

The Amazon customer service person said the 3 day select message may not be accurate. All Prime orders ship 2 day.
The UPS site says they received the billing info and are about to pick up the package.
Once it is picked up, they usually update the tracking page with their own estimated delivery date. I told the customer service person I would give them the benefit of the doubt and wait for the UPS update.

Yeah I actually created another order to make sure I didn't accidentally select a different shipping option, but the default for mine is Prime and the next cheapest is 5-7 day delivery (with Amazon MP3 credits as an enticement) so I know it was Prime shipping selected for sure.
That said, yes your explanation is close to what the service rep tried to say, but you said it way better.
Like I said, I'll wait for the final UPS estimate once they actually have the item enroute.
I normally would be a lot more relaxed about this sort of thing, but there are three big events that I would love to have the E-M5 for.

hey! at least you got a ship notice, my silver body only still nada... now I'm comtemplating about shooting a wedding (even if just for fun) with a E-PM1....
