I'm sure it is. No contact address listed. Probably the typical Brooklyn, NY shop pulling 'bait and switch' tactics.

If you are felling lucky, try it. Just make sure you use a credit card that is easy to work with if it never comes and you have to charge it back. It's the steal of the year if it works.

Is the camera new?
Is the box sealed (by Pany) or otherwise unopened?
Are all the Pany supplied items included (esp Pany battery and charger)
Is there a USA warranty included?
Are any other tie-in purchases required?
What's the return policy (esp if you find a defect immediately upon receipt)?
Is shipment insured and by a reputable carrier?
Can you pay by Credit Card?

If you are OK with the answer to all of these questions (i'm betting that #3 and/or #4 will fail) then think for a moment that this price is ~$100 less than well-known and legitimate internet vendors. Why such a bargain for camera in such high demand?

Best of luck if you proceed. Let us know the outcome.

Yikes...thanks everyone.

That place sounds like an experience I had with New World VIdeo Direct once! Never again - only reputable camera outlets I'll deal with.

I have had a very similar experience just recently (and still trying to get resolutuion) with Panasonic USA's website. They have repeatedly lied to me and not delivered the item (an extended warranty, purchased and paid for on November 25, 2011, as of 4/12/12 still not here). Terrible customer service, they lie to the customer without hesitation. Only upon the threat of legal action am I starting to get some response from them. Luckily, I have everything documented to bring legal action if not resolved soon. Yesterday I was informed by a "supervisor" that when you place an order on Panasonic USA's website, you are not dealing with Panasoniic, but with athird party company named Meridian Enterprises that Panasonic has hired to run their website. I wonder if their company is based in Brooklyn, they sure act like it.

Experience tells me to stick with B&H, Adorama, Amazon, a couple others. Not worth saving a couple of dollars to risk getting ripped off. B&H is the best for service IMO, but others are very good as well.
