Thanks I was wondering how it performs at night. There is a store here in Slovenia that has it on sale, and during the summer I'm going back to Canada to visit friends and family and didn't want to drag a large body and a few lenses with me. What about the wide angle glass. There is only one lens I can find? How do you find daylight quality to be like?

To me the performance at night is best with the Prime 01 lens because it's an F1.9. The Q wide angle is a "toy lens" meaning it won't be sharp/optically that good by design. And the aperture is F5+ something so not very good for night shooting unless you were on a tripod. Pentax says next year maybe they will release a proper wide angle (expensive) lens, and if that happens, that may be it. But I wouldn't buy on products that could be released, but then that's just me.

During the day- it performs even better obviously! :-) It has a surprising DR. I have posted several shots around.

You can see some here: http://forums.dpreview.com/forums/read.asp?forum=1036&message=41151947

And couple of snaps to show the image quality at low iso, full size:

ISO 160 (lowest is 125)

ISO 250

Thanks to both of you for the samples and the information. Defensively impressive little camera. I was surprised by the detail coming out from such a small sensor. The quality is definitely more DSLR like than compact like. 5-15mm goes wide enough for what I intend to use it for. I can get a kit with 5-15mm and 5.5mm for 664 euros which is not a bad price even compared to US and Canada. This is probably going to be my first Pentax since the K1000 I learned to shoot on.
