F717

I am thinking of getting a Sony f717. Waited till after Christmas for a better price. Where are ya'll finding the best price for this camera? I have checked places on the net and the prices are high and low. What should I be concerned about buying from these sites. Any info appreciated. Please feel free to e-mail me the best site. I don't know where you are, but I think we got a pretty decent deal on our F717 just before Xmas. We got it at a Sony Store in Victoria BC Canada for $1350 CDN (about $860 US). If you're in the US but near Canada, consider that.

I too waited until after Christmas. I went with Dell and was able to get it for $834, shipped. It seems as though their 10% deal is over, and the camera is now $999.

B&H Photo has it for $899, and I think CompUSA is selling it for $900 after you enter the coupon code of "DIGITAL10"

I don't think trying to save $50 is really worth the hassle of dealing with a ripoff site. That said, if you can be patient you may find it at someplace like Dell for a good deal. Check out places like Fatwallet and Dealcatcher for coupons that can be used.

My 717 is showing up Monday and I'm quite excited. It will be my first digital camera.
