Hi, I have just bought an s200exr and when I was unpacking it I accidently knocked the open flash back slightly, but I pushed it forward again and it seemed fine. I started using it and the flash worked fine, popped up and down like it should etc. Then when I tried it again it wouldn't work, it wouldn't fire when needed and pressing the right button on the d pad did nothing, no selections came up. My husband can see there are wires running up by the hinge and he thinks one of them must have pulled lose, it's just weird how it worked fine for a while and then stopped. Any ideas? Ive checked all the obvious things, settings etc. but nothing, it works fine with the external flash that I bought for it, a metz 20 c-2 and everything else is absotlutely fine. Thanks in advance, jacqui.

Please recheck your setting. Some setting such as Super Macro and EXR-DR wont let you use flash.

Hi, thanks, yes I had checked all those things. Just spoke to the person I bought it from, and they said that last year they had the rubber eyepiece replaced by fuji who replaced the whole top of the camera but failed to put the flash hinges back on, and that is why the flash is weaker and able to be moved back like that. They offered to contact fuji about it, but the problem is, it would probably mean sending it in, and I really want to avoid that as I can't really be without a camera for the time it would take to sort out, bit stuck on ideas now, Im certain the guy I bought it from just didn't think to mention it to me, but I am not sure what to do about it now, dont know if you can buy replacement hinges or something. Thanks.
