Hello all,

I have an old Pentax 50mm f1.7 lens M mount bayonet fitting that I'd like to try on my NEX7. However, despite searching, I can't find an adapter. Does anyone know where I might get one. Thanks

Your lens is either Pentax K mount or M42 mount

There is no such thing as Pentax M mount

All Pentax bayonet lenses are K-mount. The "M" was a range of new (at the time) smaller lenses, "A" added some auto features, "F" are AF,... and so on, but all of them use the same mechanical "K" mount.

Look for a Pentax K-NEX adapter, there are zillions of them :-)

Thank you everyone. That makes a lot of sense, and now I can find K adapters. Your input is greatly appreciated.

I can get them via eBay for relatively cheap and I have never had any "loose" lenses.
