If I store the pix from my Fuji 3800 (which is an AWESOME camera) on CD can I put that CD into my DVD player (which is hooked up to my TV) and see my pictures on the TV? I'm trying to find a way around the 1 drawback of this camera, no video out!

I almost bought a DVD,with VHS, CD, CD R, CD RW, last Saturday but when I went to the store I found out that this would not show pictures. Why they went to all this and did'nt make it do this to I will never understand. However some models out there that don't have the VHS option have the option to show your pictures on the TV. It all depends whether your DVD has this option. It should tell you in the manual or it should tell you on front of the DVD that it has a picture program in it.

My inexpensive Panasonic DVD player plays MP3, Video CD, CD-R, CD-RW . I found a program called Photo Explosion that allows you to burn a Video CD. It plays as a slideshow on my DVD and watched on TV.

Michael, I would like to do this. Where did you find the Photo Explosion program?
Thanks

ULEAD DVD Picture Show also does a nice job.

Onl;y drawback is that it limits you to 99 pics per chapter, but you can have as many chapters as you want, until you run out od space. It makes VCDs and DVDs.

There is no need to buy extra software, you probably already have Nero or CD Creator. That is all you need to create a VCD for slideshows, and almost every DVD player out there can read a VCD.

I once made an SVCD and think it's fun to see the piccies on telly with friends or family. However, a word of warning, because of television resolution and signal the photos are not as sharp as viewing on good computer monitors. You will see quite a bit of flickering. I still think it's fun to view photos on telly, but remember to keep the originals on good CD-R's.
