Hey Beth,There's a camera for sale at eBay for a price that's "too good to
be true." The person selling this camera is a business person
travelling in Spain (with broken English). She needs to ship the
camera from Spain and here's how it can be done to protect seller
and buyer, "THE WAY TO PAY : I do bussines only by Money Gram or
Western
Union
That lasts sentence was your sigh to run. Watch for key words that send up red flags "only by money gram". I have been using e-bay for over a year now and you would not believe the scams that are out there in the world.
I have had scams use my photos to sell the same item they don't have.
The only way we can make scams go away is to ignore them.
E-bay won't do a thing unless the feds get involved, or key words that will invalidate an auction site. I have seen people with 50% negative feedback and they are still trying to sell.
I have had some run a bid on an item if mine very high, then 25 hrs before the end, they remove the bid, their reason " mommie said to stop playing on the computer and go to bed"
E-bay is to big to track 1% of the scamswire transfer I can't accept other methods of payment for the moment
because
I am in Europe in a bussines trip (from here I have this products at
this
incredibiles low prices) and I am forced to accept only wire
transfer.I would
like to use COD or escrow but because I am in a forign country I need
cash
money to reinvest it in other products. ,so look how we can do this,
the
fastest and 100%
secure method for both of us."
How does she get around this one in order to steal the money?
Should I report her to eBay or is there some way this could be on
the level?
Beth
Last word, Buy from people with positive feedback, keep a record of repeat
buyers and sellers, and try buy first from the country you live in.
Good luck on E-bay....
