Why should I buy the D60?

I am a Minolta guy and started my D60 (or its replacement) monthly savings plan. Although the D60/D100/S2 to me is a pick 'em like the Camry-Accord-Altima mid-size car class segment, I like the D60 because of one thing-----the legendary Image Stabilizer system. Here is the system I am saving money for:

D60+Tamron Zoom Super Wide Angle AF 19-35+ Canon 28-135 IS+ BG+Flash 550 EX+ Canon 75-300 IS (this + my Manfrotto monopod to capture Anna Kournikova's vintage topspin forehand).

José
The D60 takes fantastic shots, the lens is going to be as important
consideration as the camera though - Canon L glass is widely
recognised as pretty superior but its damned expensive... (OK so
everyone has their opinion). I'm not rich enough for L glass, but I
have a couple of nice lenses that suit my purpose. The 100mm/f2.8
Macro USM takes fantastic shots (even I as a relative novice can
appreciate the quality)

I've only had my D60 for a month or so, and I'm no pro - so my
opinion is fairly biased to the camera I bought - I paid for the
D60 with someone else's money (its a work camera) not out of my own
pocket - If I ever changed job, I'd happily go and buy one and pay
for it personally with my own extremerly hard earned (and very
rare) cash. I dont know wether you'll get a better endorsement than
that - its just a damn fine piece of kit.
I have been asking this question on other sites. I want to know why
you feel that the D60 is the camera I should buy over the S2, D100
or the SD9. I have a E10 now and it is really fine camera but I'm
looking to move into a more challanging system. I shoot landscapes
some, some portraits, but enjoy shooting sports most. I know about
the 1D but won't pay $4000 for one. The refurbs are very hard to
find. So, tell why the D60 is the camera I should go for. Thanks

Maybe you should ask yourself why you shouldn't" buy a D60.
