How I wish the E-M5 was out now... what'll be the first you do?

... see if I can TLR my way into some closer street photos

I had no fear when using that lomography tlr style cam. Looking down, instead of at someone, made me feel less intimidated.
When the 'spy' pictures of bits of the E-M5 were coming out, at one point it looked like one of the functions of the hump was to allow the built-in EVF to tilt upwards.

Shame that wasn't true, as this VF-2 on a Pen is sometimes more comfortable to use that way, especially for getting a slightly lower perspective without squatting down.

Isn't that when the LCD screen comes in handy?

Unless the sun is shining straight down at it I suppose!
I live in this horrible part of the world they call the Tropics.
Noon.... Sun dead overhead.

. . . I wonder which one of us will get it first. I'm only about an hour's drive from the Olympus warehouse in Pennsylvania. :)
Planning to make an overnight withdrawal, are we?

(I'll drive)
. . . So you're going to sit safely in the getaway car while I'm climbing the fence and then getting ripped apart by a pack of Dobermans? :(
Hey - you make the offer sound selfish. I'll be praying for you the whole time.

I'm deeply hurt. [g]

If it was out now then we would be out taking photographs instead of. . .
. . . being out today taking photographs with another camera?
Enjoy it while you can, Bob. When the E-M5 comes out your E-P3 will stop working. As will mine.
Actually, I am worried. Worried that between the output and the different control features the Pen(s) may become neglected. Would that every worry was like this [g].

Just kidding. I've never sold a thing on ebay. Neither have I ever returned a product. I bet a lot of pre-orders will wind up on ebay.

Hopefully, Olympus US has the proverbial boat load of cameras coming in.

Don't have a pre-order myself.

he should throw you camera while he's running to speed him up. Keep the car running... I'm sure he can jump in! Gogogogogogo!!!!!! ;D

I would ditch this gas guzzler I have now. I stopped using it while I wait for that perfect, super efficient beauty that will make me drive like I have never driven before

LOL :D

. . . So let me see if I've got this right. I'm running for my life from a pack of Doberman's and then I toss a camera over the fence to Bob and then . . . . . . . .

No, no, no! Stick to the plan!

You toss TWO over the fence. . . that should be plenty of motivation to scale the fence before you're ripped to shreds. I know you can do it . . . I'll be dutifully waiting on the other side with the two cameras - and a spray bottle of Bactine.

Should the gawd-awful happen. . . I'll coordinate with Tedolf arranging the most honorable of burials at sea. But don't worry, there'll be no need to for that. Just put it out of your mind. Can do! Right?

BTW, just curious - what's your favorite ocean?

Brilliant! That's the spirit!

See, Tim? It's more than just I that believes you can do it. Have some faith in yourself, dammit! (Er, you'll have to grab 3 of those bodies now. . . and don't forget the batteries and chargers while you're at it).

. . . I'm starting to think that this obsolete E-PL3 is all the camera that I need now that I've given it some careful consideration. Maybe I could use it to help the authorities make those mugshots that they'll be needing when you guys are taken to their correctional facility. Should I use the 45/1.8 or the 20/1.7 and what about RAW vs JPEG? I want to be sure to get the best IQ and a shallow DOF so that no one here will say that I should have climbed that fence for a E-M5.

The 45mm, no question. If you wouldn't mind - my left profile is best. ;)
