In the posted shot, her hips / legs / waist seem deformed. Sexiest models? I don't think so. Their faces are beauitiful but their bodies are not attractive -- not at all. I find it a major issue that fashion industry considers this beauty. Sorry for ranting but your caption did say sexiest models ..

Thin is in. We haven't been able to add too many ounces to models or the ideal self-image of women in a long time. It seems to me that many Hollywood actresses start out curvy and soon lose all their baby fat (Jennifer Connolly, Angelina Jolie, etc.). At least most of the models you have shown in your link are uncommonly pretty.

I'm sorry but I don't see any skeletons in there.

I think it is a sad state of society now that people think its ok to slate women that eat right and exercise to look like that. Just coz you don't like thin women doesn't mean you should feel the need to call them skeletons
I'm sure if I called someone a porker you would be outraged :-0

Yes it is extremely difficult for the average women to keep a figure like that especially if you have a day job etc..
But even more reason to respect the models for keeping in such great shape..

Personally I think they look fantastic and as someone said would love to have some of them in my closet

Not starting a fight by any means, but I remember watching a TV show that proved that not just because you are slim and thin it means you are fit and healthy. It is a common misconception. Don't co-relate the two.

Unfortunately, The media always pushes fads and fashion on people. That's why good music is so scarce these days. The media pushes the junk and the good music is labelled boring and not easily sold.......

Yes I agree with you..

Just because you are thin doesn't make you healthy! But these models aren't aren't the size zero's you used to see, who looked physicly unhealthy..

Even in the Paparazi shots without any retouching they look fantastic which they wouldn't if they were starving themselves...

But on the flip side everyone keeps talking about "real women" well the sorry facts are that in some places on the planet 30% of adults are obese with the multitude of health risks that brings along with it.

As I said not everyone wants to or should look like these models but I don't understand the growing trend to try dismiss the fact that a good deal of society are now overweight by simply saying they are "real women/Men".

And that its unacceptable to call someone a porker but its ok to call someone who looks after themselves a skeleton..
This is hardly a good example to set our kids.

OK sorry for the rant...

Not that I disagree with your statements, but who determines obesity?

The society. I was looking at a BMI chart that is telling me that to be healthy for my height I should be a maximum of 154lbs. The last time I was that weight I was 12 years old. The fittest I ever was as an adult, eating healthy, exercising, playing basket ball and going to the gym, and jogging, I was 195lbs.

I am heavier than that now and not as healthy as I should be, but even at my healthy weight, I would still be considered obese by society's standard, and would infact be considered a porker.

So be careful quoting figures that are standards set by people who are by and large approximating.

These girls may be naturally like that and more power to them but the quotes 'real women/men' the way you quote it are calling naturally big people overweight. You are in fact calling bigger people fat..... the same name calling you are telling us not to do with the slimmer folks.

Real women come in all shapes and sizes not just a predetermined height and body fat ratio. If you look at fashion magazines these days you'd be hard pressed to find anything sexy in there. Most of the imagery is of models looking like zombies. Compare it to the fashion images of women in the 50s and you'd know where l'm coming from. I'm sick of seeing tall skinny women passed off as the ideal look in this industry. Time we went back to a multifarious real world representation of women.

I must state that it is not my opinion that the girls in the website provided in the original post are skinny skeletons, I just like to argue sometimes. I feel a few of them are thinner than I would like, but I will not call them out and out skinny.
