Nice portrait of your friend. If she got a look at those geese, she might start swimming. I once lived with a black labrador and she never wanted to rest. My parents had brought her to the farm when I was in the Army and she was delighted when I returned, because she got to go out running and swimming a lot more.
I whish i had the land stephen, to go out more i do a lot of walking along the pavements but labs as you know need space, work in progress anyway, nice story of yours :D

Alan, you should really indicate that at least the 1st shot was taken with a Canon G12 camera and not a Sony model. The informal rule the forum has is to identify those as Alien Ware or (AW) in the subject line. I don't know what camera was used on the second shot.

But both photos are pretty nice.

Dave why should i do that because everyone else seem to post camera shots of different cameras here, i thought i would jump on the band wagon. Like you i did stick my ore in and was politely told its excepted, live with it, the second shot was shot with the HX100V .

I could mention some names, but that would be poo stirring, and we would not want that would we. :D

Im only to happy to give names via private email if need be, rather than stir things up here, with a hornets nest, or is that what you wanted to provoke such a conversation.

Alan, The first time I posted a non Sony image here you responded...

http://forums.dpreview.com/forums/readflat.asp?forum=1009&message=40103825

I've posted a couple of more but I always indicate if they weren't taken with a Sony camera. Its only being considerate to the rest of the members.

No problem if you chose to climb on the bandwagon . All that's asked is you wave the Alien Ware (AW) flag as you ride the wagon.

Members assume a photo posted here was taken by a Sony camera - as opposed, say, taken with a dSLR. If its not explained to them they might assume that somehow a Sony point-and-shoot model, in someone else's hands, suddenly seems capable of producing shots to rival a dSLR - or worse, clearly better images taken with another manufacturer's point-and-shoot.

All I'm saying is that when posting non Sony camera images, one should be considerate of what other Sony users are assuming. Which is they are not viewing an image taken by a Sony point-and-shoot camera. Which is the last word I'll say about it in this thread.

I agree with Dave.

I miss the EXIF information of Alan's Photos and that makes me lose interest in his shots:
If it's just for watching Memories Photo Albums I'd better go to Flickr.

Please excuse my poor (and probably misleading by times) english and orthographic rabbits, I do my best.
Corrections and critics are very welcome.
