In a very short time, Micro Four Thirds has grown into a very credible system, with nineteen different bodies (ten from Panasonic and nine from Olympus) and twenty-eight different auto focus lenses available.

Here is my complete lens list, done in the style of Andrzej Wrotniak, the legendary Four Thirds guru who is currently otherwise preoccupied. These are the auto focus lenses only. There are probably as many manual focus lenses from Zeiss, SLR Magic, Rokinon, Bower, Voigtlander, etc.

My 28 lenses include the recently announced, but not yet available, Olympus 60mm f/2.8 Macro and Olympus 75mm f/1.8 lenses.

If anyone spots any errors, or knows of any lenses I missed, please add comments so I can keep it up to date. Thanks!

Bookmarked! And everyone else should bookmark it as well to get it to the top of the list.

And if possible as changes happen you should update that same jpeg so anybody who links to your post (or jpeg) will always see the latest table.

Off-line I had started a lens chart for my web pages but now will abandon that as your result is way better than I would have done.

If possible, may I just link to your jpeg from my web pages?

Thanks and regards....... Guy

Very nice. The only thing I might change is to merge the entries for the Oly 14-42 II and the Oly 14-42 II R since the difference between them are purely cosmetic. I mean, you wouldn't want to put the silver and black versions of the lenses as separate entries, either. Otherwise, great job! It's very useful with such a list.

The IS column is confusing, all we need to know is if the lens itself has OIS and whether the OIS is switched or menu driven.

Also nice would be a Lens Hood column, marked as "supplied or inbuilt" or listing the appropriate part name if not supplied (or not possible in some cases).

Regards.......... Guy

Also coming in 2012 are the two Panasonic fast zooms:

12-35 constant F2.8
35-100 constant F2.8

No firm word on the price, but rumored to be $1k+ each.

If we're talking high quality glass that's designed specifically for M43 and not just an APS or legacy film adaptation, I'd include the two Voigtlander .95 lenses. They're MF, but they're also fast as a thief.

What about the Panasonic 14-42 (not the X version) the 52mm lens size ?
why not list it ?

Brilliant. The 14-42x is 27mm long.
The Panasonic website says:

Approx. 26.8mm (from the tip of the lens to the base side of the lens mount, under the condition when lens is stored) / 1.1in

But the B&H website shows the lens as being 47.7 mm long, so I assume they are referring to the "ready to shoot" position.

This isn't the only collapsible lens made, and I am not sure if the others are specified in the open or closed condition.

The four collapsible lenses are:

Olympus 9-18mm
Olympus 14-42mm
Panasonic 14-42mm X
Panasonic 45-175 X

I suspect you are right since the other three seem too small to be open and ready to shoot at their specified lengths.

In order to keep the list manageable, I am only including the AF lenses. If that mirror lens is able to auto focus, then it will be on the list.

Incidentally... I also have a list of manual focus lenses made with M4/3 mounts. But these are mostly very fast cine lenses adapted for M4/3, and some cost $5,000!

Thanks a lot, saved right away! :)

To include suggestions made.
No doubt... the list will be revised again!
And hopefully, several more times over the coming years!
