Show Your Snaps...March 12, 2012

Great pictures...that red color is stunning...the kids look like they are concentrating on something very hard. :)

That's a spectacular photo at such a short focal length. I like how you captured the bird with its wings open like that.

One of the big birds from the SG Zoo...I find their feathers very impressive, especially when it's spread out as in the 2nd pic...

Thanks Digi.......the bird was stalking little fish. I will post a pic soon as of it's prey.

If indeed it is lonely at the top, WHO CARES, it is lonely at the bottom too.

Here's my 55-250 shot. Love the nifty 250. What a fine lens for the money. These were taken yesterday and i forgot that I had a dirty cpl filter on the lens. I was shocked they came out this good. taken with the XSi 450D. waiting on my new Sigma 17-50 EX OS HSM to get here today.

You've captured the dreary weather (which you can't control) just as it appears. It is what it is.
Meanwhile, nice capture on that fast little chipmonk.

All the best,

Photographers take pictures; the camera is only a tool.

Here's a snap of my mom's cat.

I'm absolute newbie in photo, switched from point-and-shoot canon a540is to 600d 18-135kit. So don't judge too strict.

I looked behind a bus stop cover and saw this:

Last Sunday I went with my wife to the mountains near Lima and took these photos with a Rebel T3i with Tamrom 18-270mm lens. Please comment.

Sailors have more fun!

I saw your picture earlier today at work, but I now see it's gone. That ice...the way it is wrapped around...was interesting.

Those birds do look good with their wings spread out. I heard they are letting them dry out, in places where I've taken their pictures.

Those are very nice sharp pictures. Yes, I sure like the 55-250mm lens also...so much that I'm leaving it on one of my cameras.

Thanks. At the time when I took these, these dreary scenes seemed bad in a way. But when summer comes around during the dry season, I actually like looking at some of them; they are different...a way to remind us of this difference that only can be captured by a few hardy souls that venture out in it. :) I encourage all people to try doing it at times in bad weather (if they are able and as long as it's safe to do so). Some interesting photos can result.

The pictures are very good. It looks like you had a nice trip with lots of interesting things to see...great entertainment as well.

Your picture of the cat is nice...nice & sharp. The cat seems to look at the photographer and say, "What are you doing?"

The idea behind asking people to show their snaps (or rather nice images too), is to encourage people to share their photos, see & comment on other pictures, and learn some things in the process. So we try to not be strict in the way that it would be demeaning.
