I am just looking for a good program to catalog and view my images. I've heard these two are both popular. Can anyone make any recommendations since they are both $50. Thanks, Rob

For cataloging (offline) images, I would recommend IMatch. For browsing your images, ACDSee is a better program.

I suggest that you download the trial versions and try both programs before deciding.

PhotoThumb ($29) is also a great program for browsing and handling your image files: http://photothumb.com/

I found CodedColor to be extremely useful and a very good ACDSee
alternative (don't know about Imatch).

Check out http://www.codedcolor.com

Currently the software is still free.

I settled on Compupic from Photodex largely because I found the full screen images to look the best (to me) on my monitor. It has most of the features. Available on 30 day trial by download, as most are. You be the judge.
