He is very cute! It looks like the autofocus worked on this shot, but it is a bit hard to tell in this sized image. But it looks to me like his eyes and whiskers are in focus.

ho yes, he's cute! my cat would probably fell in love with him and instead of eating him they would become best pal :)

they are supposed to be intelligent, right?

it was quite funny to try to get his picture. everytime my son put him on the bed he would run right over to him and jumo up on him. They are supposed to be intelligent and loyal too. I just can't seem to build up the nerve to touch it. lol.

Acatually Richard, I think this photo looks good...I think there is more focus in the face and hands!

I think this guy is cute! These pet rat's are not so bad...They actually seem to have personalities...maybe you will learn to like it...or at least pet it !

Richard... I noticed with this post that the auto focus didn't work... or the link either... LOL but I saw Dexter's pic in the other post so that's okay..the only thing about the focus I can say is.. make sure that you aren't in Macro mode when you don't wanna be... cause.. I, in a blonde moment have had the Uzi in macro mode then.. tried to take a "normal" pic and it was way out of focus because of that... probably not your problem.. but just a suggestion....Cute Rat... try to touch it... it needs your love too.. lol..

In order to focus you probably need to get a hard edge like his tail. His furry body is probably difficult to focus on. Just a guess.
 
Perhaps you could get Dexter a guinea pig like Bob's for company. You'd better be nice to that rodent; it has sharp teeth.

I was fairly close when I tried. I tried in macro, and without and moving away. nothing seemed to work. each picture I took, took several attempts to focus.

Ps, I went on a shoot last year and thought something was terribly wrong with my camera,. Had to manual focus the whole time. Came home to find macro was on. So don't feel too bad. It happens to everyone.
