Yay! I got a new lens :)

Very nice. Did you add a little extra blur to that second shot? It looks quite good to me for a 4/3 sized sensor at that distance and focal length.

Why are you doing this????? I've been trying to see if I could buy this lens and pay the electric bill and now these photos that suit my planned use perfectly. Don't do this again!!

Nice, you should have a lot of fun with it. It's a very nice lens.

I bought a PL 25 1.4 and it arrived last week. I got a chance to test it out on my kids a little tonight :)

the winner. Is there any way you could have taken the shot so only the horzon showed without the trees on the right hand side?

Otherwise I really like the way you set him up on a rise with just the horizon and sky in the backgrouind.

And of course, the exclelent user of the Rule of Thirds!

Thanks for looking and sharing my excitement over my new lens!

Very nice work. I like #2 the best.

Are all of these at f/1.4? Of course, the whole point of the PL 25mm is f/1.4! OTOH, I'm constantly amazed at the overall quality of the images I get in the f/4-5.6 range, so the lens is a real multi-tasker. It's my go-to lens unless I know for a certainty that the 12mm or 45mm is what I need.

This lens is the portraitist's friend, and it loooves kids.
Very nice shots, keep them coming.
Marla.

It sure is... they just come out of the camera :D

These are just quick Christmas snaps, but I love them!

And the first shot is a good example of why it is not a perfect portrait lens.

But in that case appropriate becuase it amplifies the humor of the portrait.

It's the start of Tax refund season, go to town... nice lens, may pull the trigger myself

Of course not getting off topic if gas keeps heading up, I would not wait.

Really like the last....

Quick question, though I have posted this as a thread just now...

I notice from the exif that your using an E-PM1? Three things:
  • how is the pl25/1.4 on the e-pm1... I hae the 25mm also and am thinking about the e-pm1?
  • how is the e-pm1 dial and control usability?
  • does the pl25 chatter a lot on the e-pm1?
Many thanks and congrats again on your lens... looks like you'll make good use of it!

I really like it on the E-PM1.

No problems and fast focusing, very nice output.

The chattering outdoors isn't bad. More like "tick tick tick" as you change from light to dark areas. I hardly notice it.

I'm overjoyed with it :)

The PL 25 is the lens I leave on the EPM-1. It has taken a little time to get back to primes after the past 5 years of zooms, including the outstanding Oly 12-60. This lens returns to zooming with feet, but the results are great.

The EPM-1 focuses fast and true. I don't hear well enough to pick up ticks. I can't hear a watch either.
