So is the big announcement regarding a meat pie recipe?

Gosh, I'm getting hungry.

I'm sceptical about the 19th date -- as I was about the 2nd. Canon usually picks Tuesday (maybe a Thursday) for announcements.

BMW will announce the first self-propelled digital camera on march 19, that's for sure. It will have a dual V12 processor engine and variable electron-scan optics together with 5 wheels.

Saucy !

If Canon are only putting 22 pieces of beef in their new pie as per rumour then I'm going to start buying Nikon pies - you get 36 bits of beef in their new pie!

NO! Even assuming there is going to be an announcement which, knowing Canon's indolence, I strongly doubt, it won't be a meat pie recipe, but they will offer us the umpteenth "warmed up soup".

That's why, tired of waiting, I pre-ordered a D800E: when available, I'll decide whether to keep my 5D MkII as a back up camera or trade it in with all relevant gear and change boat altogheter.
All the best.

Indeed, but any professional chef will tell you that it's the quality of the ingredients that are key. You should be able to tell the difference between the 22 pieces of beef and the 36 in the other can in low light or even blindfold in the dark.

I wholly agree. I have been trying Fuji pies recently and even though they have less bits of beef in them, my appetite is always completely satisfied.

All announcements normally take place at Tuesdays.... sorry to spoil your dream.
