Survey - Olympus E-M5 in black or silver?

Alright, I'll play. I've ordered the silver version. My reasoning is that it looks less "pro" and more fun and touristy which I think will usually be an advantage, and because both black and silver lenses will look equally good on it.

Pre-ordered a black one. I seriously considered the silver, but I actually think it will draw MORE attention than the black. Plus, while the silver looks more "retro" (which is cool), the black looks more hi-tech, which I prefer. Final point: though I don't currently own any silver lenses, from what I've seen, the E-M5 silver doesn't quite match the silver of the Olympus lenses!

I've not ordered anything, I'm waiting for the reviews of the production samples. And any way, here the only online store giving a date of delivery says it won't be here before end of may.

I don't know yet whether I'll order one. I may wait to see. Concerning colors, I'm not enticed by any. In the absolute, I'd want a white and silver one. As is, the silver will fit the silver lenses better, but I don't really like the look of the leatherette. I prefer the look of the black one, but it won't fit the silver lenses. In the end, I may wait untill they offer a white one :-).
 
Ordered the silver body only. Hoping my Panasonic lens ( 20mm/1.7, 14-45mm, and 25mm/1.4 work OK on the EM-5.

Black, with the grip. I love the retro look of the silver, and it was a tough decision as these things go... I went black so as not to draw attention to it or me. Need to get home and get that concealed carry license. ;)
 
I went with for black and intend to use it with the 20mm and 25mm panasonics.

If the first camera lives up to expectations, I also will move my 12mm over from the E-P1 plus OVF to a silver E-M5.
 
Just curious.

I have the same poll running in a german forum and up to now the germans clearly prefer the black version, whereas here in this international forum the silver version has the lead. Still being a preliminary result though...

Hoarding won't really pay off, according to the results, as they are not that far apart (in general also reflects the poll at 43rumors, but they have a much higher sample size and thus lower variation).

By the way, the same poll in a german forum is by far dominated by bias towards the black version. In that region, hoarding within the first weeks might actually pay off if one wants to take the risk... ;)
