I am stunned that my D3 can still produce photos I was under the impression that any thing other then the D4/D800 was no longer usable LOL.

Here is the proof.

So how long can I expect my D3 to keep going now these new cameras have been announced?

Cheers

Nice shots for such an out of date camera! I love that setting. What did they do there exactly? I bet you could feel the vibes and screams of workers from decades gone by.......

You wanna know what's more incredible than that?

My F5 still works! Yep! Takes a photo of ANYTHING I point it at. Still!

I can't follow you that with the introduction of each new model of pro cameras, the earlier model will stop functioning.I think it will advesely affect the reputation of Nikon as a leading manufaturer.

I find images of derelict engineering workshops incredibly sad. They contrast so vividly with the excitement and voracious energy they have when working.
Nice pictures, can you have the power hacksaw packaged up and sent to me please?

If the truth be told, most of us would give our eye teeth for a D3. I'm still happy with my D300 which still takes great shots. But, I would love a D3, let alone a D3s or D4.

Yes it was a wonderful environment I spent a long time there and took way to many photos LOL.

It is actually an old Blacksmith/engineering workshop where they used to make steam engines and locomotives. It is an Museum exhibit which is part of the museum in Tasmania fantastic set up what makes it even better is they have the sound of the old work shop coming through speakers it really set up a wonderful atmosphere.
So yes I could really here the vibes of the workers.

Thanks for your comment.

That is probably true I was lucky and get my D3 secondhand for an extremely good price and do not regret it for a moment.

Yes it would but would make income for the business just think ever time a new model is released every one will have to buy a new one HMMMMMM (that why I am not in Business)

As I said in an earlier replay it is actually part of an Museum and is set up really well with sound of the workshop echoing around the old building. Fantastic environment and great for photos, it was an blacksmiths work shop where they used to build stream engines and Locos for the local government.

I will have to work out how to get it past the security guard at the front entrance first?

The D3 has never failed me whether it's for stills, action or low light.

Gorgeous! What is the second shot and where was that taken? LOVE the first photo. Can't even begin to guess how all of those colors were captured while I can still read the Fairway billboard.
Terrible how do we put up with it?
