Beautiful, Dan! Great compositions, nice light, interesting subject matter.

Lots to like about the X-10's capabilities, and yours, of course!

Tom

I am with Tom DC, really beautiful frames; you show us the world is full of great photo opportunity when we bother to look – wonderful stuff mate. :D

Many thanks for looking Tom & your kindness is much appreciated!

Don't forget to keep us updated as you continue your train project as well.

Dan.

Thanks very much Max.

I can say the same to you & also to keep them coming. ;)

This are fantastic images that just pop out at me here with great sharpness and color. The framing is outstanding and very creative. Great job on these Dan.

Best Wishes, Gary N W SFO

Your X10 color really has some snap to it!

Mine does OK too, even when printed large. These trees are all reaching for the sun but since it is a warm winter here, they reach in vain, a month too soon!

Hi Tom, your shot looks good to me. Color is tough to see in the trees because they appear to be backlit, if you were on the other side of the trees you would have the color popping.

"M" sized with DR200, Astia mode, color set on high, highlight tone standard, shadow tone set on med. hard, then shoot to the right as much as possible(depending on what you want or what your shooting of course) but careful not to over expose to keep the dense color in the file for recovery later if necessary.
Then I always shoot in the good light, or at least the kind of light I prefer.

Thanks for looking.

Dan.

Many thanks Gary. I'm feeling good with my X10 LoL. :)

Dan.

Thanks Tim, very kind of you to look in.
I understand about the eggs! My wife feels mostly the same way.
Lot's of good shots in your gallery link too btw.

Dan.

Very kind of you Siggi!

You should share more of your X100 pics with us here from time to time you know.

Dan it's obvious that this X10 is a guitar made for you... You have lately post a whole bunch of great pictures... I am sure the camera is inspiring you.. But you also have change level... (by far)

I have only some problems .... Firstly I have decided this year not to buy a new camera... and you make me crazy....

Secondly Its not possible... in a forum full of orb terrorism you to insist and post such pictures..

You are a pain in the..... ^&^&^ my friend,,,, a big pain...

Hahaha thanks for your wit & humor Mike, & your kindness!

No new cameras for the whole year?

Nothing wrong with that, let the familiarity you have in your current gear open the doors to your creativity!
Familiarity breeds confidence & well you see what i'm trying to say. ;)

If you were in the market to upgrade, what would you be considering at this time?

Dan has shown his depth with every camera he has posted with

I disagree

Dan has shown this very style for a long time. I know because I have looked at every post even though he hates me :-D and have admired his style for a long time.

Dan if you are reading (I know you are) another nice set. We should start a challenge called “Yard” of course you will win but it will be fun to participate.

Graeme if you are reading … paint this leaf shot too! :-P

Thats a nice question... next week I am waiting my first real pano head, Nodal ninja MKII full packet, it was very expensive friend... really I have a terrible headache every time I think of it... but, it was a must have...

Now, my next setup will be around this head, and I am thinking many solutions of a lightweight small sensor camera.... NIKON - RICOH - Canon but no fuji, the X10 is not made for this game, the XS1 big and heavy... So I think I will loose this series of models... maybe the next movement will be one of them, with the X10 to be first...

On the end a DSLR (like) is waiting for me.... X100, maybe Xpro... will see, this is maybe 1-2 years later....
But who knows... some times the things are running faster.... than we expect...
