First I want to thank Sandy for picking up this thread last week while I was totally caught up in shooting the SD1. I am back to earth now and shooting my SD15 (and still loving it). Time for the weekend photo display. Remember all Sigma cameras are welcome and try to limit your post to 3 photos. Also please give your submission a label/title so that comments can be properly directed. Now go out and shoot some photos this weekend and have fun.

We had a nice snow yesterday 8 to 10 inches at my place. The sun was out today and I ran up to Red Rocks and took a few shots with the SD15 and the 17-70 mm OS lens.

I got this lens with a package of used gear, and don't use it much, but I thought I would check it out on a walk around our town park. It's not a lot of range, but I like having 20mm @ f2.8. I'm posting a few more than the limit of 3, only look at the first three if that annoys you...

We have a non-profit group that buys statues to decorate the town, kind of cool. This is a favorite, and someone put a few cameillias on the hat, where there are flowers carved in the statue.

Reminded me of a tree's foot print, left in the sidewalk

A little stream that passes through the park, I believe that used to be the drinking water source for the entire town. It's hard to believe that there's not a fence railing along it.

A beautiful spot in the sun

A path down to the statue in the first picture, with crape myrtles, covered in spanish moss

Yesterday, me and my family went to the Kröiller-Müller art museum. It's a famous dutch art museum, situated in national park "De Hoge Veluwe". It is home to one of the largest Van Gogh collections. It was my first time I paid a visit, though it is in my own municipality.

Where can you enjoy Van Goghs in such tranquility? Here you can, some 50 miles from Amsterdam, it is off the beaten tourist track, but definitely worth a visit.

(Captured A stranger, Sigma DP2x)

The museum also has a large garden with sculptures both modern and classical. Situated in the fine nature of the Veluwe.

(Sigma SD14)

For me it was an exciting visit. Hope you like the photo's too.

(Sigma DP2x)

Have a nice day.

Couple DP2 rose photos online, ISO400 and ISO800, with and without flash. They are an unusual color, pale, with darker edges and a yellowish tone (for real) on the interior of the bloom. I have some 5DII photos too I'll later process and put online. The DP2' s I processed in SPP5.1, most with a bit of negative fill light. This is ISO 400 1/25 f/2.8 without flash, hand-held. Largest sizes online at my flickr link below.

Best regards, Sandy

I am in Monterey, CA for a conference this weekend. Brought the DP2 with me as I didn't have room for the SD15s. Shot the first image at the Monterey Plaza Hotel and Spa on Cannery Row. The bird kept hanging around the fountain and I managed to catch it taking off on the second shot.

Later, after the conference adjourned for the day my business partner and I "chased the light" to capture the sunset over the Pacific Ocean. We ended up at Cypress Point on the 17 Mile Drive. This two image pano captures the serenity of the "Lone Cypress Tree" at sunset.

Enjoy, and have a great weekend.

Best Regards,

BT

Those dolphins look familiar...are they over on Cannery Row?
You got it. Monterey Plaza Hotel and Spa, 400 Cannery Row, Monterey, CA.

Hey Rick,

Those are wonderful captures. The first one is a total knock-out. Well worth the early start.
