**** Mini Challenge 317 Action Shots*********

incredible as always. I LOVE them all,but especially the last one. green blurry Bg is so nice and the way the water droplets trail gracefully from the bird's beak...very cool!

I don't do too much action, not my cup of tea, but here are a couple

From the Trapeze School

My five year old grandson finishing a one mile fun run.

These bicycle racers are drafting so tightly that it is difficult to see that there are really two riders in this picture.

Thank you Liya! I wasn't sure I'd get a good shot because it's backlit but I was glad I tried anyway :)

Thanks for watching!!

I like it too, but was this shot setup? If you practiced it over and over I would fault that when comparing to other shots for action that were one time events, if the shots were as good of course. Is this girl someone you know?

Thank you very much, I really appreciate your comments and am flattered by the attention.

The girl is may daughter. She was playing in the water of the St Laurence river, in the 1000-island area last summer (Canadian side). The afternoon lighting was perfect so I took a few shots. She was not aware she was being photographed, so I guess this was not a setup.
We liked the result, and printed it in 36*24 to be presented in her room.

For a while I was thinking about removing the yellow buoy in the background, but left it there because I wanted to keep it as natural as possible.

I would not be offended in any way if this is picture does not qualify as an action shot. I am a novice, I take pictures for fun and post for fun.
