Despite using the custom white balance [using a white index card I carry with me all the time], there appears to be a slight yellowish/greenish tint on the photo. But hey, it's my first moon shot:)

Also, notice the graininess/noise around the circumference of the moon. I could have removed that in Photoshop to enhance the image quality, but there's no point in doing so when the aim is to discuss the actual performance of a camera.

Same time, same camera. On video:

Hi, on my monitor the colour cast is very green, my monitor isn't calibrated, but my moon shots show perfect IMO, when i do moon shots i use the auto WB with all my panasonic camera as essentially the moon is reflecting daylight, and panny auto WB does an excellent job in these circumstances, please don't be offended by my remarks, and thanks for sharing your moon shot.

EDIT, that white ring around the top half of your moon shot, i have seen that before in quite a few of mine and other peoples shots too, not sure what causes it, someone will know, i'm sure of that.

lol, not offended at all. I'm here to learn the 99.9% I don't know about photography and teach the 0.1% I know about it:)

About monitor calibration: 99% of computer users don't know about it, so even if a photographer's monitor is calibrated, only 1% of those users will see the image the way the photographer wants it to be seen. Kinda reminds me of audio recordings: I write music and practically everyone who downloads and listens to it uses their PC "cans", whereas the audio recordings were made using professional monitors/headphones.

Thanks for the tip.I will try AWB next time and see how it comes out.
