I'm just in love with the X10!!! It's the perfect travel camera! The Dynamic range (in 6mp DR400%) is huge!!

I post some pictures from a recent trip to the Highlands. All of them are processed with ACR. The B&W HDR was processed with photomatix.
Hope you like them! :)

Sorry, I missed the links :P

Just corrected :)

Worth waiting for. Nice work - I'd like to see a little more contrast and sharpness in the B+W highland cow but that's just personal taste.

Thanks for sharing - wonderful pics. In 2008 we visited our son in Scotland (they lived there for two years) and we loved the country! Of course, I brought along my heavy DSLR gear, and the X10 would have been perfect for that trip. We made it up to St. Andrews, the Highlands, and a several little fishing villages(oban) - and of course, many of the castles. (Our son's office was at the base of the Edinburgh Castle). We definitely want to get back there.
Regards,
Bill

Very nice pics of the beautiful countryside!

These have a 3D feel to them that works very well & adds alot of interest to the shots.

It's amazing how much info is in the X10's files isn't it?

Dan.

thanks for the advice! I'm always afraid of sharpening too much, but in this case you are right, the image seems a little bit soft... Nothing that a low pass filter can correct! :P

Thank you for sharing these, they are lovely. :)

Wonderful landscapes! Excellent job with the X10!

Keep shooting.

Great pictures!

Makes me wish that it's alreay april, I'm going for a week to durness (alone) to discover scotland.

I will take my X10 and my Nikon D90 (for the case there is some wildlife to see) with me.

Great photos - can almost feel the fresh air in my nostrils...

Just out of curiosity; I see quite a few B&W shots, often through PP, being posted and they look great. Given that the X10 in fact includes yellow and red "filters" for B&W, one could get very close to a photographic film-like experience. Anyone considering using these or should the "filters" just be considered a gimmick?

Really good compositions. Lots of people could learn from what you've shown here.

'Bass-ackward' does not equate to 'superior'.

Nice work,

I'm glad I'm not alone in loving the X10. I really enjoy it and do not regret buying it at all. I think there has been so much talk about the way the sensor handles blooming that people forget what a great little camera it is. I just took mine out for days on end in the Alps at temperatures that were pretty much below my limit for taking timed and composed photos. The camera handled and worked just fine

Where can I buy some natural artistic ability?!

Take a good tele-zoom, it's not so strange to see some deer or some interesting birds!
