Hi,

Does anyone use the Nikon DR-4 or DR-3 right angle finder?
I have an S1(N60 Body) which has the square shaped
viewfinder.

I am finding all these right angle viewfinders have a
circular thread.

Is there some kind of adaptor out there?
I want to get a right angle finder but need
to locate an adaptor first.

thanks for your help...

I use a DR-3 frequently with the D100. Yes, you do need an adapter.

It's a little dohicky we call "the Nikon part with no name". Nikon part number 2370. Availiable at most really well stocked camera shops.

Ciao!

The problem with ALL right-angle finders is that they dont view the
entire frame.
Great for checking focus, but in practice quite useless, I find.
The Nikon right angle finder does view the entire image, including all readouts, on the D100, F100, 8008, FM2, and, I would assume, every other body that Nikon makes. Since you mention "checking focus", I assume you're confusing the "right angle finder" with the "eyepiece magnifier".

Ciao!
