Does anyone know where I can get an extra battery holder for my SR2? I do alot of winter shooting and it would be handy to keep an extra battery set warm. - John

I bought mine from Winter Photographics in Canada

[email protected]

They don't seem to have a website or any e-commerce, sadly.

I bought three trays, the total cost was roughly $40 US - including shipping!!

Turnaround wasn't super-fast, but it was a good experience all in all and the price couldn't be beat.

Oh, um, wait - what's an SR2? I thought you meant a tray for the 4 AA batteries in the S2 Pro.

Thanks for the tip Charles. I've been looking for the same thing
and an extra tray for the MB-16 I'm using in place of the lithiums.
Did you just send them an e-mail with the details of your
requirement?

Bill
Yes, I just emailed them with the items I wanted, they responded with pricing and I sent along my billing info. Not an ideal plan, but they were very responsive and the price can't be beat.

Not sure what their current stock is, but they're a very reputable
dealer.

Some of you guys are really dumb to even consider a single tray for $36.00.
Did you read Charles Bandes' post that he got 3 of them for $40.00.
Some of you guys really amaze me.

I think they ended up talking about two different devices.

Spare battery holders for the MB-16 (Not S2) are about $12.00 each as I recall seeing them listed at B&H.

I did get mine at Tallyns. I wanted it to have for travel and didn't have time to shop around. At the time I ordered mine Fuji was just getting supplies (of extras) on hand.

No, I think Rinus is right. There's no mention that they were for the MB16.

I am wondering about that MB16. At about £1 each if you know where to buy them, an MB16 would probably not pay for itself for most people (eg. 1000 pics for £2 of CR123's, vs. £50 say on an MB16, means some 25,000 images). At which point with my shooting, I'd be 4 years down the road and looking to buy a Fuji S4 (FF probably too!). Unless of course the S4 also has some nasty split power supply! ;) And the same seems true of the NiMH CR123's, which I think are some $40 each!

Hi Mike,

Teski's post has the shortcut and it leads directly to the Tallyn's buying page for the S2 battery holder. The same holder is being sold by my friends in Cochrane for about 1/3 the price! There is some shipping to be paid but you can indeed get three of them for about $40.00 US

You don't need to start calling people dumb. Options don't hurt, and he can go to your Canadian dealer if he wants. No need to call people dumb...I haven't even bought an extra tray yet. Some people like to buy in their own country even if it costs a little more.

I've just got off the phone with Winter photographics here in Canada and purchased a battery tray for the S2 and a battery tray for the MB-16. This all came to $50.00CAN (approx$30.00USA) including $10.00CAN for shipping. Not too bad.

Nope, I am not talking about the MB16, I don't have one, don't know how to use one.

I bought three, countem three battery trays from Winter Photographic in Canada. The total cost was roughly $40 US (they were $20CDN each) including shipping.

Why they were cheaper I don't know. Work great, look exactly like the one that came with my S2. No complaints here, I'm a happy customer.

If you really want to spend $37 each, why not order from Winter anyway, and send me the $17? ;)

Hee, sorry didn't mean to offend anyone there. I'm all for supporting local businesses too and I don't want to accuse anyone of dumbness or anything like that.

We have a trade agreement with the US and mexico called the "NAAFTA agreement". It is to promote free trade amongs these three countries. It would indeed be dumb not to take advantage of what your government has bargained for! Sadly, the americans are the only people not very informed about these matters.

The Canadian price is $12.65 US dollars and if you pay the $36.95 US instead, you are not supporting local business, you are supporting local rip-off! The Canadian deal is the official Fuji retail price in the Canadian price-list. The official price in the US is $40.00 US. Frankly, Anyone who supports this little rip-off is not helping bring down the price in your country.

I have to admit that you may never change the system but I am happy to buy my goods in the US to get a better deal. That has nothing to do with supporting your own country, that only has to do with being smart in this "Global Village"world.

If I have offended you, I apologize. If I enlightened you, you may say thank you any time you wish.

Some good points. I'll say thank you for the information and the connection to the cheaper tray, but I won't thank you for your tone and your words. You can give advice and information without demeaning people. Learn a little tact Rinus..It goes a lot farther.
