Hi Bruno, thanks for the nice comments. these were taken 2 days ago on the 27th, and yes this is the winter we are having at the moment, I have only seen signs of frost three times this winter so far. but it has been known to snow in feb here so there is still time I guess but I,m not complaining either lol.

Thanks for the looking and commenting. it is winter all be it extremely mild, these pics were taken 2 days ago on the 27th. there is snow in Scotland and on the very tops of the lake district but not seen and myself and only had three frosty spells so far.
Damn it, just when I was getting over being home sick from all the photos posted from the Lake District, Fylde Coast, West Country, London (all places I've lived, walked over, enjoyed) by the 'local. posters (and good photogs) here on this forum , along you come with great shots of Derbs. (anothe hiking area I love).

Nice Work. I may have to return from Florida for a UK Home coming!

Hang on! You guys still have winter! I think I'll stay in the Sunshine State a while!

Brian :-)

Excellent composition, Bob.. if it wasn't for the crowd at the right side, I would say you had only half of this shot and than "mirrored" it to present image, LOL .. good eye and well selected point of view ;) ..

Thanks for sharing, :D

Hello Carol - Thanks for starting the thread. The first shot is great. With the sun location, it looks like you were there at just the right time to capture it. I really like the color of the sunrise across the water!

Hello Dez - I like the bright red wall which is in contrast to the rest of the image, but what makes it for me is the lone, small person sitting on the bench at the base of the towering lighthouse. I usually don't have too much time to comment on what is posted here but I always try to check out your New York shots. Very enjoyable!

Hello Cleve - That would be a joy to wake up to. Not too much of this on our local mountains this year. You even managed to frame the view with the trees. Very ice.
Clancyboy

Hello Ponchik - I like both of these and how the foreground in each adds depth. Really like the second with the lone walker and the framing with the large logs. My kind of shot!
Clancyboy

Hello Rick - I like this a lot. The sunset adds great color and the gull is coming in right on queue. It's shots like this that make me want to take those quick day trips to clear the head.
