Good 'ole planet Earth, biggest orb around! And I picked the X10 to take photos of the orb, while I orbit in my Hangglider, using the the 2 orbs firmly ensconced in my scone, yet another orb, to peruse the Earth orb for things to photograph.

It does exactly what I need, fit for purpose. Great I.Q. Raw, small, great optical viewfinder(critical), solid build. Those other problem orbs don't bother me too much, don't fly at night, and my Pentax K5 is much better for that in any case.

So thats it, a very happy user!

And I couldn't give a cruddy rodents rectum what anyone else thinks!

Incredible landscapes! In which country was it taken?

Absolutely fantastic!

With image potential like that, you really should consider getting an X100. The IQ is much, much better, and the camera is not noticeably larger. Far better viewfinder too. The potential you have up there is amazing and should be captured to the fullest extent possible.

Wow! Take that Ex-Spurts who proclaim the x10 a "door stop" or just a high priced "paper weight"! For a camera described as only capable of ruining important photographs it did pretty darn well in your hands! You did very well! Thanks for sharing!

Retro style Oooooooom!

Critical observers would note the variations in focal length, something that the X100 does not accommodate.

Litespeed ? or Malibu? ;)
Wash that mouth out my man, Airborne territory here! First flight with my shiny new Sting3 168 and Mosquito harness. Got the nastiest rotor launching behind the cliff, so lucky to get out of it. Was still rough up at 800' and 1 klm inland. Won' go there again!
Did lots of free flying along the cliffs.

Cool! Never have flown Mosquito. Love Airborne batten tips on my Aeros ;)
Is there interval shooting on X10?

Beautiful shots LWW, I thought you must have been powered. Definitely a nice way to go when the wind doesn't comply.

I fly Stanwell in my Malibu. ;)

Never been over that way to fly, after 200 klm of ridge to myself I might find it a bit difficult look out for others. Its not so much about the wind not complying, Its the flexibilty to fly along the beach at 20', go inland, go out to sea(a bit) and really nail the best vantage point for pics.

Cheers

What a big chip for such a little shoulder

Lot of seculars in those images, arent there?

Ahh, luckily its such a big orb. It takes lots of seculars, atheists, humanists, agnostics to name just a few.

And yes, seeing as they are images of the very large orb, one can only expect that there will be many seculars, though not particularly evident in this neck of the woods.

Woops!! Neck of the woods, silly me, this is the Nullarbor Plain, meaning treeless plain.
No where for seculars to abide, except maybe the Wombat holes?

What an odd fixation. Rodent rectums, wombat butts, what's next? I hope that it's nothing like navel gazing. Wouldn't be much interested in some other things from "down under".

And yet you gratuitously, obliquely referenced it in your OP. Way to go, pro.

Ahhh Ha! A sleuth in our midst.

No no no nooo navel gazing down here.

Just look at those fine specular free image from the mighty X10! The horizon, endless, clear blue ocean to the horizon and beyond! Clean fresh air! Blue skies, few people! and the quiet, oh the quiet.

Now why would I stare at my belly button?

Heres some more if'n you care to take a look.

The X10's NP-50 battery gave up the ghost as tiny batteries tend to do, and in your haste to replace it with a fresh one it slipped out of your hands and lodged in your belly button. Good catch too, since if it dropped from sky to earth, it would probably be gone for good.

You have some nice photos there, but for such small web size images, the "protective" watermarks are much too large. Such concern makes it look like you're giving in, and may be turning into the sort of "pro" that you formerly had no use for.

Also nice and for a change, watermark free. But even smaller than web size which greatly lessens the impact. Other things do well as miniatures, but stamp sized landscapes aren't one of them.

Ah gee Gary! Pretty good and dishing it out, but not so good at taking it! Little touchy today are we...... Whose got the chip?

BTW, did you check out the photographs LWW got with his X10? Pretty good I'd say? And guess what, he captured them while flying an ultra-light aircraft! Amazing! Why that's as good as skate boarding around Hong Kong - don't ya think?

The Ex-Spurts are out in full bloom! I love it! Thank you LWW!

Nice work LLW..and what a cool job you have, any pics of birds in flight...ie like the BBC Migration film....

ps no chance of Orbs in those kind of shots so title is misleading(though I know its for fun) and it gives the fanboys more ammo...
