Yes me, this was one of the reasons that lead me to get rid of my M8 (plus cost of dioptre lenses / IQ over 640 / faulty LCD x 2).

I would have preferred an adjustable one as in the X100 and many DSLR's, it means added cost and potentially bulk as well as re-purchase if eyesight changes.

For many this may appear insignificant but for me it is a big negative!

It's a huge issue for me. I use reading glasses and need a diopter adjustment without them. I was really interested in this camera until I saw the video and saw the comment about no adjustment. Makes the camera a no go for me.

Probably a deal breaker for me. Terrible oversight. The adjustable diopter on both by 5D2 and x100 are tremendous, I'd hate to go back to the one size only that I never liked on my M film cameras.

Was quite excited about this camera until reading about this, now not interested at all, will not even read anything more about it. All interest gone.

I saw the same fuji guys videos and was turned off by that twist on lens diopter thing. Do they come with the cam? Or $60-$100 more? I, like some of you guys even preordered is beast. I was really excited but got more nervous about this than even AF speed etc (although that's a big question mark too)... I could prob care less if I wore either contacts or glasses more so than the other, but I don't. I wear contacts a lot when it's sunny out since I don't wear prescription sunglasses.. But I wear my glasses a lot too. Totally random!

It feels weird bringing this up in the first place. I mean, cams w/o a diopter adj is rare right? (never owned a Leica... Too much money for me!)

lost all interest - despite being quite keen and interested prior to
seeing Fuji Guys video - a big shame for being so very skimpy on
essential feature with a 1700$ cam :( !!!

Not wishing to just make pun but this is really short sighted of hem to leave off the adjustable diopter. I wanted this cam so much but to not be able to "share" it with
someone else depending on eye sight is a pain !

"Just unscrew this or screw this on,then take a pic" Yeah sure that ll happen......
This was the digital G2 I ve longed for.....
Except that had a variable diopter fitted so was useable !
How could they blow it with something so simple.
A lot of my interest has evapourated and after being so excited about the d@*$
thing too.

You are all right !
I am so sad about this problem
my left ( photographic) eye is -2 and I'll need al dioptre lens

WHERE to buy this fuji accessory ?
or
I must go to my optic shop to order my lens..?

sob...

Whats the big deal on this?

You need to change it once. Buy a matching diopter from ebay for a few bucks and be done with it.

Absolutely.

When using M9, I have no choice, but to use a -3 diopter, and take off my glass to shoot. So, either without the glass on, walk with a blurry view. Or walk with my glass on, find something of interest to shoot, take off my glass, put it in A pocket, . . . Fuji doesn't see the pain!
I don't wear either one exclusively and often switch out. Is anyone else out there concerned that there is no dipper adj dial on the cam?

The Leica M's do not have a diopter adjustment dial. I trained to bear with the individual add-on diopter lens. But not any other cameras if I got a choice.

The pdf brochure on the fuji site has a label pointing to the diopter adjustment
The PDF says diopter adjustment lens (not control). I think it means you need to replace the lens to change diopter adjustment like the video said.

I can't believe what a stupid decision by the company. I would have loved this camera and a big reason was the viewfinder. Doesn't help me if it's blurry though.

and annoying, too.

in order not to repeat arguments - you can read all reasons why not
