All you "Carnack the Great" prognosticators.

The mayo jar is about to be cracked, put your envelopes to your foreheads and make your best guess.

Pete says,

Sigma will introduce its new X3 sensor,1.5 crop fewer MP than SD1 to keep its "Flagship Status" New processor "T3" to crunch data in one chip and do HD video.

Mock ups of new models incorporating system, SDXX a freshened SD1X body with SD1 AF and Live View/Video mode.

DPX introducing new Mini SA mount. MSA lenses in DP1/2 focal lengths equivalent and a SA adapter.
24-70 EX update with OS.

I read out of a camel liver:
3-4 lenses and a mock up of a DPx Camera.
No pricing information about the camera :D

This review is from: Nikon F6 Professional SLR 35mm Film Camera Body (Electronics)

Camera will not work with CompactFlash or other digital media cards. You must buy a cartridge of tape, which allows for just 24 shots. No LCD screen for image playback. Extremely frustrated and returned item.

I was hoping for a new DP1 with F2.8 at least to go with my DP2x.

However, times may be too interesting with the new Fuji announcement right now, I guess it will be a passed station.

I´m still waiting for the 105 and 150 macros in Sony mount, but other than that, not interested I fear.

Hi, You get those redneck southen boys way out there, wow.

My thinking, Sigma will bring out something and some will say it isn't enough, some will love it. Reviews will say not enough features or bells and whistles while others (not reviewers) will talk IQ. Something in the DP line. Also some new lenses.

Hoping for a real market contender since it seems the big boys have decided the MP race is over, so now it could be Sigma's time.

I would really like a DP with usable LCD, better iso and higher resolution...if not zoom, 35mm...

but i guees it will be lenses, long primes for Dsrls with OS..and lenses for mirrorless...

...A hyper expensive Sigma lens or two to go with the hyper expensive SD1?

I go for a full pernambuco wood covered DP2 style camera with a SD1 sensor internally stabilized priced at 5,000USD. A woodworm care kit is included :O

Its tomorrow for petes sake!!!

Still ... those leather straps with Sigma logos would be cool.

Nahhh ... I guess its only lenses.

And maybe a vague teaser regarding cameras. Something about keeping the flag high and to prioritize even more intense on the camera division at Sigma.

if they announce any camera and telling a price?

Will ppl believe or is it now common to make it 5 time higher to get the real price?
Think this will be most interesting part of a possible camera announcement.

So this new sensor to go in this new camera will have less MP.. but more features than the "flagship"?.. .. mmm.. All this "NEW" stuff costs money and again I bet IF sigma releases a camera is will be overpriced.

Oh I highly doubt Sigma will be doing HD video.. perhaps they should try SD@640x480 first. Baby steps.. hahahaha

but it in nice to have dreams..lol..
Sleep well.

Yeah, and a lot of people from this forum will complain about it. And will make jokes about Sigma because they didn't manage to add LiveView to it. Right? ;-)

If it has 60 FPS video and no LiveView I think anyone will complain or at least be very surprised.

So ... whats your point?

It's now the 10th in Japan. Sigmaphoto.com lists a new 180 macro which focuses 1:1, a 19mm F 2.8 ex lens (4.9 oz) designed for mirrorless cameras, and a 30mm f2.8 ex lens (4.8 oz) also designed for mirrorless cameras.

The bleeding continues.

great new lenses I am pretty happy with the announcement.
This is the hottest technology they have to offer at the moment
