Chasing The Light

Please tell me the last 2 pics you're using HHT, Dez.... superb!

Thank you sir, and no Hand-held Twilight.

The first was Auto HDR. The 2nd is a straight shot in Aperture Priority (I needed an ND filter there to blur the water. I wanted to stay at f/5.6).

The third was Bracketed at +- 3.0 EV. All with a tripod and the last two with wireless remote.

hahaha, you're getting better at this kind of low light pics situation then. Keep it coming for more bro!

Where is this?

The second and third look like New York. Citibank building? and UN?

Nex-7 with kit lenses, Contax G 35, and a number of legacy lenses (mostly Canon FD)

Very nice!
NYC is such a beautiful city to shoot.

It's obvious you have not spent enough time on this forum learning about the sub-standard quality of the NEX camera systems and the poor quality optics you are forced to use. I suggest you do a little more reading so you can fully understand just how impossible it is to take photos like these.

Seriously, very well done! This forum could use more posts like this and fewer gear bashing threads.

lol agreed. Love the 3rd photo. Poster worthy.

Dez I think you may need to post a thread on your basic methods for the type of photography you do. I'm not sure what your keeper rate is, but it seems that all the shots you put on this site are home-runs.

Some more great pictures, nice job.

Wait a minute. The 18-55mm stock lens took these. The "experts" here have said that that lens can not take good pictures. Opps, guess they were wrong again.

That's right. Not enough time in this forum. All people want to write about is the NEX-7 and about how much they dislike (or like) the Zeiss 24mm f/1.8 :)

Thank you sir. The key is to share the good ones, and hide the bad ones ;)

No methods. Just fundamental photography and proper camera technique. Treat each camera you own as if it were a SLR.

I actually heard very good things about the kit lens and I viewed the samples, hence my picking one up with the body. IQ is pretty good. Otherwise I would've waited for faster NEX zooms and adapt with my Nikon lenses :)
