First one (using P&S curve) in NC (the one I processed some time ago and liked)

Second and third - in RawShooter V1.1.1 (plus a little bit in PS - levels and USM) from today (third one is overcooked on purpose - a bit of that glamour look)

I am completely LOST

I definitely like the first the best, best color tonality as well as shadow ratio.

To slightly disagree with the other choices I have to say that when I looked at the first image my thoughts were that it was PERFECT. Leave it alone, how could it be better? But the second shot looks more like a film photograph (my goal in every shot) and less like the perfect natural digital camera/hi-def video look of the first shot. That's my opinion. That look in the first shot, although far more natural than 35mm film, is what I'm often trying to get away from. Many film photogs have lamented this exact thing while, at the same time, so many of us digital photogs obsess over how to make it even MORE natural looking. Personally, from street photography to wedding photography, I don't care much for the super perfect always nailed WB natural look and so I'd be happy with shot number 2.

Well,
You convinced me.
NC does it best with skin tones and natural soft, not harsh look.
I use and have always liked NC for first round editing.
Thankyou for the experiment.
Well done.
