i spend 12 hours a day on the internet

the internet is my work

Sounds like they're a bunch of slackers and not keeping their priorities straight, hehe. I spend at least 4 hours a day on the Internet while at work.

I used to work for a manufacturer of high-dollar racing bicycles. To us it was obvious that our website with all its complicated material about bike construction was being read by guys at work. Our 30 page PDF was downloaded almost exclusively during working hours.

You're not alone...

Been displaced from telecom as an account manager in the NW for nearly 10 months now, and Wa. state is leading the nation in unemployment. This stinks...

I also work for a telecom related company which is not doing so well but our unit makes software that is doing well.
Hope the economy will improve and you will be employed soon.

I used to spend lunch times and coffee breaks surfing round here and other photography sites but the throught police - sorry, firewall administrators - have recently had a crack down where I work and most of the sites I used to go to are now blocked out altogether, as they are deemed non work related or 'chat' sites, including DPReview forums :-((

NYC is currently at around 8% unemployment, and Long Island around 4.9% - neither of which helps me any... Of course, the unemployment compensation extension was blown off before the house went into recess until January, by which time 1.2 million Americans will have lost their benefits... I rent skiis/snowboards now. Whee.
