Hi there, just yesterday i purchased a 100V...i was torn between it and the panasonic fz150....The girl in london drugs told me "sony all the way"....i am not new to sony, i have owned the H50...So far i am loving it, and it seems to take really great pics, i have a lot of new settings to try out :)

My question is on most pics i take, i get a "processing"which only takes a sec, but is this normal? I have tried 2 cards in there, one is a class 10(and used in my sony nex 5N that i returned) and i have tried my class 6...Just curiuos if everyones does this, or if it is not normal. thanks so much...

Also, anyone have any recommendations to try out for settings, like sharpness, etc...

Thanks again

sharon

I only get "processing" delays on scene modes especially those that shoots 3 or more shots per press like backlight HDR, anti-blur, etc. It should never occur in P mode for sure. Maybe you set it to include superior intelligent auto and the subjects you're shooting is quite dim. This would trigger it to shoot 2 or more shots hence, the delay.

thanks so much....i did take many in P today and did not have the delay....i appreciate it...i am still really trying to decide if i am keeping it or going with the panasonic....i keep reading the forums and how many people are unhappy with their pictures and that makes me nervous...I love the panarama mode a lot and many things about the sony...Do many really have a problem with the pictures, are are most people happy? I will have to take many in the next few days and play with all the settings :)

If you are in Superior Auto mode and it plans on taking multiple pictures and merging them, it will show a little 'burst' icon on the screen. Merging multiple shots into one saved picture is what causes the delay that you were asking about. Well worth the wait, usually.
