As mentioned here already:

"Investigative panel calls for legal action against culprits"
  • Says top management was "rotten"
  • Finds no link to gangsters
  • Shareholders grow confident Olympus can avoid delisting
...and discussed further on here:

Never the less, thanks for the news. At least now you know it as well. At least now you can have your own thread about this.

don't understand the point you are making here,
Rriley's link is to a Reuters news story dated today TOKYO, Dec 6 (Reuters)

Are you saying there is something odd about the Reuters story?

Olyflyer, please, come on...

Can't yo relate to the Reuters news story as such (written today even), instead of being grumpy towards the OP? There is really no need to start quibbling about this, is it?

This antagonism (in all and any directions) is beginning to look a bit pathetic: some people seem not concerned anymore about the content of messages on this forum, but only about ways to snipe at the messengers.
Big yawn.

Didn't you look at the link I gave? I guess not.
Olumpus stock has risen by 15% in the last few days . It has lost 45% of it original value ( Up from 85% down)

No, I am just saying that the link to that article was originally provided by Collin and discussed under his post as well.

Yes it's written today, and is the very same as mentioned in the post I linked to. Can't you see that?

That link you provided is to a recent message, deep in a subthread, in a days old thread with a very different subject title. Right?

So in essence you are blaming/ridiculing the OP for not having read all entries in all threads in this forum. If he had done so (like apparently you do), then he could have responded there instead of creating a new thread about news from today.
Oh, now I see it. ;-)

Right.
Big yawn.
Couldn't agree more.

I think the OP was referring to the outcome of the panel investigation - the results of which were published on the BBC news website early this morning (GMT) on Tuesday the 6th December (approx 07:30h).

So a message which is in the currently top thread and is 5 hours old is an old message if the thread is more than 3 days old in spite of being currently still an active thread. Is that what you are saying?
So in essence you are blaming/ridiculing the OP for not having read all entries in all threads in this forum.
Nonsense. Riley reads each and every post I write on this forum and every discussion I participate in. Probably keeps a copy of them as well. You have been around long enough to know that.
If he had done so (like apparently you do), then he could have responded there instead of creating a new thread about news from today.
Oh come on, you are so naive...
Oh, now I see it. ;-)
Right. Better late then never.

Right. That was exactly what I was referring to as well.

This is news that deserves it's own thread

If just to be seen by those who don't get mired down in reading every post on threads that have become contentious.

Yes, I do, but still I find Roel's comment up thread spot on:

Should you have seen the same link deep into some older but still developing thread, you can simply make the OP aware of that in an informative and polite manner, instead of jumping at him w/ some personal grudge like this. It's that simple. Manners I mean. I for one perceive a hostile attitude on your part here, which really isn't necessary. Let's keep it down, shall we? Let's keep it factual. End of story.

As someone said this news deserves it own thread. And let’s not get involved with other threads with the "you said , he said , I said" and trolling ( In fishing terms) for info to support our arguments like I did. Then going off like bantam cocks having a go at each other only to find the hen has walked away. Yes I plead guilty of participating in those threads.

This news I believe puts a peg in the ground as far as this whole saga is concerned. What happens from here onwards who can tell. But the news that there is no criminal activity and that there is not a lot of paper assets is good news. Also that Olympus’s Bank has come out in its support ( Thanks Jeff). There will be a new board with or without Woodford and a few more skeletons will be dragged out. But over and above the panel’s report the banks statement is the most positive. Banks are not bleeding heart institutions so they must have seen a way forward. Let’s see what transpires.

Hopefully a lot of Olympus employers , supplies and customers are sighing with a bit of relief. We would have to have changed our camera brand of choice if Olympus went down they would have had to have changed their lives.
