55mm lens cap

You could get a string that has a round attachment with a double sided tape.

Attach one end to your camera (usually the strap/lens barrel) and affix the other end (using the double sided taped piece) to the lens cap.

No need to get another lens cap.
I have a squeeze lens cap and no way to attach a string unless I
drill a hole through the cap. Anybody suggest a place where I can
get a better cap

Kodak Gear ( http://www.tiffen.com ) makes a "Lens Cap Leash" that has an adjustable elastic strap that can be attached to the lens cap. Item number is: 80040

I don't have a string - I just put the cap in my pocket.

But, if you must have a string why not drill a hole? Or use a bit of hot melt glue. Or both. Or use this flap arrangement: http://www.optechusa.com/lens.htm

As always, thanks for the ideas and links. The cap in the pocket didn't work so well for me, long story, but it has to do with memory...

After much trial and error, I found that I can keep my lens cap from getting lost AND never have an overexposure by simply gluing the lens cap on the end of the lens. :-)

(I DO like the neck strap cap holder that Fuji supplies, with or without a lanyard)

Best,

LOL,Your right, the glue is a great idea, no low light focus problems and all my pixels work, for now(he,he)
Cheers
