Some test shots with film filters in P mode with auto WB.

Default color (Full colors setting).

Kodakcolors. Kind of weird, doesn't look like Kodakcolors film. Kind of look like an old faded photo.

Ektachrome. Look like vivid colors mode.

Kodakchrome. Somewhere in between Kodakcolors and Ekta.

I think these filters have limited value, but the Kodachrome is nice for reds. It's much more subdued than the standard rendition. I think of these kind of like the HDR function--you have to have the right circumstances to use them.

Chiue Good morning from the occupied GREECE... LOL... well I hope you dont mind me to use the same picture of yours, and present some examples according to the NIK filters FILM simulation filter.

So here is the closest to the P880 simulation - from my own previews experiments the Kodak Elite - chrome is the P880's color rendition, of course the filters have Brightness and contrast adjustments which I have in 0, and only I have set to 0 the grain simulation for all.

so

here is the Kodak Elite chrome

Here is the Kodachrome 64Pro

Here is the Kodachrome 64

End here is the Ektachrome 64Pro

Good afternoon Mike. Did you joined the occupy Greece???

No, I could not mind. In fact it is a good exercise to see other filters work.

IMO, I think the NIK filters do a much better work than the in-camera film filters.

I like the Elite Chrome best.
I am with you, Kodak has a bit of home work to catch up with.
I think is Kodak as usual.
